My Website

I have closed my two previous sites
    bitnpiecesworkshop  and patchworkbyrhonda

I opened a new website - http://www.piecencutpatchwork.com/

As you may or may not know I started a new website a year ago this april. I hadn't realized it had been that long til I got a notice that my yearly pmt was coming due!! LOL What a shock! I hadn't paid any attention to how time has flown.

So I had this new website and worked on it for several months before taking it live this last November. I just got it where it feels like it is an acceptable amt of stuff on it to be interesting to others and so I proceeded to start doing some marketing work lately. I don't know a lot about this but I do know some having owned and gone through all of this before on my 3 previous sites. Each time I lean more and more. I'd never had an online site before I opened my first one. I didn't even know what a URL or a browser was at that point. LOL

Needless to say I am still learning and struggling through all of the sites intricacies.

I have now gotten all of my EQ electric quilt lessons on there. I have brought all of my BOMs up to date also. There are some project lessons on there but I have alot more to add.  It takes so much time when you have to add each picture and then put it on the page and make sure the pic is the right size and placed right etc. Now multiply that by about 200 pics and it takes a lot of time. I wish I could just copy and paste each tutorial but it won't copy and paste the pictures. Ah well  it reminds me of the old hunt and peck way of typing. I hunt for each picture add it to the site then click on the add button to add it to the gallery and then click again to add it to my page. Now you know why it takes me so long to get tutorials added!  I am working on getting all of my free tutorials moved to this new website. I want to see all of my stuff in one place.

I'm also working on getting all of my free quilt blocks moved to this site and adding some of the quilts I've designed to show how you can use the BOMs in a quilt.  I love designing! It is my favorite part of quilting tho I love seeing the completed project also.

I hope to figure out the store on my site and get it up and running so I can sell some of what I make. I make small gift items with a mini quilt front on them. Hopefully yet this summer I will have that up and running

You can see my PiecenCut Patchwork site at

I also still use the Patchwork by Rhonda name on the site so you can google that or Piecencutpatchwork

Wishing you Sunshine and Laughter!!! Rhonda

March BOM

Finally catching up with these quilt blocks!

Another original by me!    Hope you like this one! Rhonda

This quilt block uses my 4 patch squares block and HSTs.  I will be updating my directions for the 4 patch squares block soon!

Once you learn to make the 4 Patch blocks then
check the Layout here to see where the colors go and how to place the individual blocks to get this design.
Sew the blocks together into this quilt block.

Another of my original quilt blocks!

This month I decided to do something different. I broke the quilt block into 4  9 patch sections.

So this is a 9 patch using my star point blocks and one plain block for the center.

Now once have made one of the blocks you will need to make 3 more for a total of 4  9 patch blocks.

Here you see 4  9 patch blocks

Once you have the 4 blocks made - you then
sew them into one quilt block.

My quilt blocks are made using 6 rows of 6 blocks per row. I call this a 6 x 6 grid. So I realized I could break it down into  a 3 x 3 grid and use 4 blocks. that way it is easier to see how it fits together and is less intimidating.

The whole point of my designs is to make the difficult look easy to do. You can make intricate quilt blocks with easy steps! Once you know the tricks to making my designs they aren't as hard to do as you might think!!
