September BOM

My original design--  uses 2 of my shortcut blocks -  my boston blocks and half square triangles.
You can find the directions for these shortcut blocks here-
 http://www.piecencutpatchwork.com/

follow the above link and then click on the shortcut blocks tab to find the shortcut block directions

Once you have learned to make the shortcut blocks then you make as many as you need. Look at the layout picture to see where the colors go and how to lay the blocks so you get this design.  If you need any help just let me know and I"ll be happy to help you.

You will need a 2 1/2" template to make this into a 12 1/2" quilt block. You can use any size template you like but it will be a diff size depending on the size of template you use.
If you need a template email me at patchesbyr@yahoo with your postal address and include the 2 1/2" template size in your message.

  1. The pattern is very well structured, Rhonda. Thanks for sharing! I like the colors also. They are combined into a one complete image without any unneeded things.

    1. Thank you Daisy I am glad you like it. I love designing. It is my favorite part of quilting! It's so much fun to see what all you can get out of the same blocks just by turning them and changing colors.
