Rambling Thoughts

I  see it has been some time since I was on here! I had hoped to keep up and post every day but life gets in the way. I have been sick with bronchitis and other junk. I have really not cared if I accomplished anything, I think I have been hybernating playing pc games super texttwist and solitaire alot.  It is mindless activity that soothes my soul when I am not up to dealing with anything. I know I know call it what it is procrastinating and opting out of life for awhile! LOL

But I am feeling some better tho it isn't totally gone yet. I still have not gotten to see Serenity yet. I still have a cough and my bronchitis isn't totally gone yet. But I do have more energy again and did get some templates put together and mailed. I still have more to go but am working on them. For two weeks I would look at them and just walk on by! They could wait til I felt better. So I apologize to anyone who is waiting  on your templates. But they will get sent out eventually.

I finally got all my Thanksgiving stuff down and boxed up. I am now putting up my Reindeer collection which is huge and my Angel Choir which is also huge. I decided not to bother with a tree this year. I had a small one last year about a 3 ft one on top of my antique stove but that just isn't really a tree to me. I don't really have room for a big tree anymore. And it is increasingly hard for me to decorate a tree.

So I am going to enjoy the collections I love and let the rest slide this year. I also collect bells which is one of the reasons I put up the small tree last year. I used it to hang alot of my bells. I might think about creating some swags for next year to hang some of my bells on to display them. T hat sounds like a good idea. I can watch for some closeouts this year after Christmas and get some supplies to make Christmas swags. Hope I remember this idea! LOL

Hope you are all enjoying  your Christmas decorating and baking and getting ready!!
Merry Christmas to all!!

You might remember to thank God for sending his Son to save the world!  We wouldn't have Christmas without Christ's Birth!!

Praise Him all creatures here below!
Praise Him above ye Heavenly Hosts
Praise Father Son and Holy Ghost!!! Amen

Welcome Miss Serenity into our family!!

Our newest member of our family Serenity Elise-Lynn was born at 10:11am this morning. She was born to our grandson Cody and his wife Nicole! She joins brother Jayden 3 and Alisha almost 6. I am anxiously waiting for this cold to go away so I will be able to go over and see her and hold her in a few days. I was so disappointed in not getting to go to the hospital but you can't control colds! Darn it anyway! I had planned to be there but plans change I guess.

At least I can share a picture of her as Cody and Nicole shared their pics on Facebook so we could have them.

Here is our little bundle of joy!  Our newest great granddaughter -Miss Serenity and her mommy Nicole

Including our two grand- in-laws Nicole and Dan and all 4 great grands we now have 16 grandchildren! God is good!

We will have a great Christmas this year with little ones.
Serenity is the youngest of course and then
our grandson Colton will turn 1 on Dec 17.
Adrianna great granddaughter just turned 2 in Oct and
Serenity's older brother Jayden turned 3 in Sept.
Alisha (Serenitys's big sister)will be 6 the end of Dec and then
the twins Daymon and Devon-grandsons- just turned 8 the day before Thanksgiving.
Rachel-granddaughter is 9 and
Zach -grandson will be 11 on Jan 5th.
Joey -grandson will be 13 on Dec 10 and
Jake- grandson  is already 13.

The older 3 grandkids and two in-law spouses are all young adults now! They just grow up way too fast!

I hope to get more pictures as Serenity grows! It's always fun wondering what kind of personality she will have. We shall see!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone is having a good day with their families and good food!   We had 16 with my daughter and her family and our youngest son and his family. My son in laws parents always come. My middle child my other son goes to my mother in laws for Thanksgiving every year. She lives with her youngest son and he and my son are business partners and more like brothers. So my son's  youngest Jake doesn't like to go up there because the kids his age (13) are all teenage girls! LOL Not a lot of fun for him. He's not into girls yet.

We had lots of good food and lots of fun talking.  As usual I have grandkids. Zach came Tues late aft. and stayed til today. Jake came yesterday and will stay til Sat or Sun. When Zach went home today his sister Rachel stayed and will be here til Sat morning. My youngest son Glen's 3 boys stayed today and will go home on Sat morning. The twins Devon and Daymon turned 8 yesterday and Colton is 11 months. He just started walking this week. It is funny to watch him walk as he sort of rocks from side to side and plants each foot as he walks. But hey he's only been walking about 4 days!  So I have 5 grandkids til Sat. Then Jake may or may not stay through Sun.

Wishing you all lots of turkey sandwiches and left over potatoes and gravy!! I could live on turkey sandwiches for a very long time!! Love them!
