Welcome Miss Serenity into our family!!

Our newest member of our family Serenity Elise-Lynn was born at 10:11am this morning. She was born to our grandson Cody and his wife Nicole! She joins brother Jayden 3 and Alisha almost 6. I am anxiously waiting for this cold to go away so I will be able to go over and see her and hold her in a few days. I was so disappointed in not getting to go to the hospital but you can't control colds! Darn it anyway! I had planned to be there but plans change I guess.

At least I can share a picture of her as Cody and Nicole shared their pics on Facebook so we could have them.

Here is our little bundle of joy!  Our newest great granddaughter -Miss Serenity and her mommy Nicole

Including our two grand- in-laws Nicole and Dan and all 4 great grands we now have 16 grandchildren! God is good!

We will have a great Christmas this year with little ones.
Serenity is the youngest of course and then
our grandson Colton will turn 1 on Dec 17.
Adrianna great granddaughter just turned 2 in Oct and
Serenity's older brother Jayden turned 3 in Sept.
Alisha (Serenitys's big sister)will be 6 the end of Dec and then
the twins Daymon and Devon-grandsons- just turned 8 the day before Thanksgiving.
Rachel-granddaughter is 9 and
Zach -grandson will be 11 on Jan 5th.
Joey -grandson will be 13 on Dec 10 and
Jake- grandson  is already 13.

The older 3 grandkids and two in-law spouses are all young adults now! They just grow up way too fast!

I hope to get more pictures as Serenity grows! It's always fun wondering what kind of personality she will have. We shall see!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone is having a good day with their families and good food!   We had 16 with my daughter and her family and our youngest son and his family. My son in laws parents always come. My middle child my other son goes to my mother in laws for Thanksgiving every year. She lives with her youngest son and he and my son are business partners and more like brothers. So my son's  youngest Jake doesn't like to go up there because the kids his age (13) are all teenage girls! LOL Not a lot of fun for him. He's not into girls yet.

We had lots of good food and lots of fun talking.  As usual I have grandkids. Zach came Tues late aft. and stayed til today. Jake came yesterday and will stay til Sat or Sun. When Zach went home today his sister Rachel stayed and will be here til Sat morning. My youngest son Glen's 3 boys stayed today and will go home on Sat morning. The twins Devon and Daymon turned 8 yesterday and Colton is 11 months. He just started walking this week. It is funny to watch him walk as he sort of rocks from side to side and plants each foot as he walks. But hey he's only been walking about 4 days!  So I have 5 grandkids til Sat. Then Jake may or may not stay through Sun.

Wishing you all lots of turkey sandwiches and left over potatoes and gravy!! I could live on turkey sandwiches for a very long time!! Love them!

Happy Weekend everyone!

Hope you are having a good Sat today. I am trying to clean house and work on my next EQ class for the Quilting Board and the Quilting Haven.  I also need to work on my mom's autobiography too. I am putting all the pictures in one file and all the text in another file for the printer she is going to take it to.

My grandson Zach is here for the weekend and he is busily watching his favorite shows on the computer and then he draws pictures acting out his imagination or his favorite show. He loves coming and being the only one here. He likes getting time away from his brother and sister. They are really loud kids and he likes the quiet. Not that he is all that quiet either! LOL

My family has grown so big we haven't gotten together for a dinner at my mom's in  many years now. Not enough room for everyone. So  over the years it has evolved that I do the Thanksgiving dinner where my oldest and her family come and my youngest and his family come but my middle child he and his family go to  my BILs as my MIL lives there and Nathan is in business with his uncle. They are also very close. More like brothers. Doug(BIL) is the youngest of my DHs family and my kids came along at the right time to fit in as the youngest kids in a the family. so they were treated as siblings and not nieces and nephews. There is only 8 yrs between Nathan and Doug. So Nathan likes to spend one holiday with them.

Then at Christmas time Nathan has all of us 27 of us now on Christmas Eve day for a dinner. It is the only time of the year I get all my kids and their families together in one place. We are all looking forward to it this year. My oldest grandson and his wife are expecting a baby girl in 21 days! She is going to have a c section because of health concerns. Serenity Elise-Lynn will be our youngest great grand child and if you add all the grandkids and great grandkids she will be #16 of all our grandchildren. God has been good to us!

My youngest son also has a little boy  Colton who will be 1 on Dec 17 and Serenity has a brother Jayden who just turned 3 and a sister Alisha who will be 6 in Dec then we also have a granddaughter who has a little girl Adrianna who just turned 2. The rest of our grandkids range from 8  up to 23! So we will have lots of little ones this year for Christmas!!  It should be lots of fun!

Wishing you all a thankful day to think about all  the things you are thankful for and to Praise the Lord for all the blessings in your life. We need to be thankful every day and not just on one holiday.

Thank  you Lord for all the opportunities you have given me and have shown me the way to follow you.

God Bless  You and Keep You Everyone!! May His Light Shine Upon You!  Rhonda
